Lucie Falisse
Biography
Lucie Falisse joined the Egmont Institute in September 2026 as a Trainee Project Manager in the Education & Training Programme. She holds a Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Action from Aix-Marseille Université (NOHA Programme). Her Master’s thesis examined the narrative of ingratitude in Franco-African relations through a critical discourse analysis of President Emmanuel Macron’s speeches between 2017 and 2025.
She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, with a specialization in Political Science, from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her bachelor’s thesis explored the impact of the 2003 invasion of Iraq and subsequent counter-terrorism measures on the rise of extremist groups such as ISIS.
Her academic experience includes an Erasmus exchange at the Uppsala University and an internship as a legal intern with the Collectif des Associations contre l’Impunité au Togo.
