Valérie Rosoux
Biography
Valérie Rosoux is a Senior Research Fellow at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research (FNRS). She teaches International Negotiation, and Transitional Justice at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain). She has a Degree in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in International Relations. Her research interests focus on post-war reconciliation and the uses of memory in international relations. In 2010-2011, she was a Senior Fellow at the United States Institute of Peace (Washington DC). Since 2016, she is a member of the Belgian Royal Academy.
Over the past twenty years, she has trained diplomats, NGO workers, military officers, and students in Europe, South Africa and the USA. She is also a member of the Processes of International Negotiation (PIN) Programme Steering Committee based at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA, Hamburg).
She collaborates with the Egmont Education & Training Programme since 2019 to train diplomats in negotiation techniques.
