Edouard Rodier
Biography
Edouard Rodier is Associate Fellow at the Egmont Institute – the Royal Institute for International Relations (Belgium). He is also Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Europe office in Brussels, and President of EVAM. He is Member of the Board of Directors of the Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World – Belgium), and of VOICE, the European humanitarian NGO network.
Over the past 20 years, he managed and supported humanitarian operations, mainly in field positions, with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), INGOs and DG ECHO (European Commission). As MSF EU & NATO Representative and NRC Europe Director, Edouard Rodier has been a lead advocate for the protection and assistance of displaced and vulnerable people towards European interlocutors, engaged in policy dialogue with government actors, NGOs and other key European stakeholders.
As Associate Fellow at the Egmont Institute, he accompanies the European Commission (DG ECHO) in the preparation of the second edition of the European Humanitarian Forum (EHF’23).
He studied law at Paris University and graduated from Sciences Po Paris. Edouard Rodier is French, residing in Belgium. He is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
