Saïd Djinnit
Biography
Saïd Djinnit is Senior Associate Fellow in the Africa Programme of Egmont Institute. He is a career diplomat who served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in diplomatic posts abroad. He subsequently held senior positions at the Organization of African Unity, the African Union, and the United Nations.
Since leaving the United Nations in April 2019, he has served as Special Advisor on African Issues and the African Perspective on International Relations at the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Conflicts (ACCORD) based in Durban and the European Institute for Peace (EIP) based in Brussels.
He has also served as a Member of the International Council of the Fondation MédOr Leonardo based in Rome; and a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) based in Maastricht and Brussels.
