Through its Focus on Migration Policy, Egmont wants to foster knowledge and strengthen networking by unpacking the evolving landscape of asylum and migration governance in Europe. We examine legislative developments, implementation challenges, and emerging policy debates to determine how EU institutions and member states can best respond to shifting migration realities, particularly in light of the ongoing reform of the Common European Asylum System. We cooperate closely with EU institutions, national authorities, civil society organisations, and international partners to provide policy recommendations and strategic guidance.
