Solidarity: Towards a New Governance of Predictability?
The Pact on Migration and Asylum has been presented as a turning point, with its entry into force as the culmination of a lengthy process marked by tensions unlike any […]

Through its Focus on Migration Policy, Egmont wants to foster knowledge and strengthen networking by unpacking the evolving landscape of asylum and migration governance in Europe. We examine legislative developments, implementation challenges, and emerging policy debates to determine how EU institutions and member states can best respond to shifting migration realities, particularly in light of the ongoing reform of the Common European Asylum System. We convene regular discussion lunches where Brussels-based experts and practitioners exchange views on new initiatives, the practical implementation of legislation, and forthcoming challenges. We cooperate closely with EU institutions, national authorities, civil society organisations, and international partners to provide policy recommendations and strategic guidance.
