From 1 to 4 June 2026, the second training module of the Wanawake Viongozi – Professional Growth and Support Programme for Women Leaders in Kigoma took place in Kasulu, Tanzania. Organised by the Education & Training Programme of the Egmont Institute in partnership with Enabel and the Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC), the four-day session focused on Confidence & Communication, building on the mentorship foundations established during the programme’s first module. Through a combination of interactive workshops and practical exercises, participants strengthened key leadership competencies, including communication, emotional intelligence, assertiveness, critical thinking, public speaking, work-life balance, and personal resilience.
Beyond the acquisition of technical skills, the training fostered peer learning, reflection, and the development of a supportive network of women leaders committed to advancing positive change within the Tanzanian public administration. Delivered by experts from the Federal Public Service Policy and Support (FPS BOSA) and TPSC, the module represents another important milestone in the Wanawake Viongozi programme, contributing to enhanced leadership, confidence, visibility, and participation of women in decision-making processes across the Kigoma Region.
