The Georgia-Russia Stalemate: Dos and Don’ts for avoiding a new Cold War. This discussion paper reflects on the August 2008 conflict between Georgia and Russia. Though brief, the implications of the conflict, especially for international security, are difficult to ignore. The crux of the matter is clear; to avoid Cold War-style tensions, the EU must develop a coherent strategy for interacting with Russia.
