In November (18-29), the Education & Training team of the Egmont Institute co-organized the annual Bilateral Generic Training for Civilian Crisis Management with the Department for International Police Missions, North Rhine-Westphalia State Bureau for Training, Education, and Personnel (LAFP). The 2-week training is a prerequisite for Belgian and German nationals to partake in CSDP or UN Civilian Crisis Management missions. It takes place partly in Brussels and in Brühl, Germany. The BGT benefited from the great collaboration and support from the Federal Public Service (FPS) Foreign Affairs, FPS Justice, Federal Police, and many experts, including those from Belgian Defence.
