Simone Gagliardo

Biography

Simone joined the Egmont Institute in February 2025 as a Trainee Project Assistant in the Education & Training Programme Team. He holds a BA in Political Science and a double MA in EU Studies and International Relations. His interests center on the EU’s democracy support policy and human rights, especially in the EU neighborhood region. He recently completed a traineeship at the EEAS in Brussels in the ‘Democracy and Election Observation’ Division, where he worked on the external democracy policy of the EU and supported the activities of election missions worldwide.
