Guy Trouveroy
Biography
After joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1977, Guy Trouveroy started his diplomatic career with postings in Germany, Syria, the United Nations and China, before being appointed as Consul General in Los Angeles from 1992 to 1996. After 3 years as Director of the Asia-Pacific Service at the MFA (1996-1999), he was appointed Ambassador accredited for India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives (1999-2003), and then Ambassador in Cairo accredited to Egypt and Sudan (2003-2006). He returned to Belgium and acted as Director of the Africa Service at the MFA (2006-2009), and was then Ambassador in Moscow (2009-2014) and London (2014-2017). His final function within the MFA was as Inspector of the Belgian diplomatic posts.
He contributes to the training courses in Diplomatic Practices through a variety of training sessions such as “Public Speaking” and “Drafting of Communiqués”.
