Biography

Giulio Coen joined the Egmont Institute in September 2024 as an Intern in the European Affairs Programme. He holds an LLM in European Law from Utrecht University and a bachelor’s degree in Comparative European and International Law from the University of Trento. He is currently completing his last semester as part of the MA programme in Diplomacy and Global Governance at the Brussels School of Governance, where he also serves as Vice-President of the Student Government.

During his studies, Giulio has grown passionate about European foreign policy, particularly in the field of trade and security. His primary research interests revolve around international commerce, critical raw materials, sanctions, and the security situation in the Middle East.
