Arzu Gulbakan

Research Trainee

Biography

Arzu Gulbakan joined the Africa Programme as a Research Trainee in September 2024. She previously worked with the Programme in 2022.

Arzu holds a Master’s degree in International Politics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2023) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) (2020).

Before returning to Egmont, Arzu gained valuable experience as a trainee in the Energy and Transport Section of the European Economic and Social Committee (2023). She has also interned in the political section of the Belgian Embassy in Turkey (2022).
