Saferworld, an independent international peacebuilding organization, will present its report ”Partners in crime? The impacts of Europe’s outsourced migration controls on peace, stability and rights”, in which it analyses the way migration-control priorities of the European Union and its Members States do influence the relations with countries of origin and transit, in particular Turkey, Libya and Niger, as well as their long-term implications in terms of instability and conflicts. Dr Ruben Anderson, Associate Professor of Migration and Development at the university of Oxford and co-author of the report, will present its findings and discuss recommendations for the EU’s migration policy.
