Dr. Ghazi Salahuddin Atabani gave a lecture on Sudan for a selected public. Dr. Ghazi Salahuddin Atabani was key negotiator for the Government of the Republic of the Sudan at the peace talks with the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in Kenya from 2001 until 2003. On 20 July 2002 he signed the Machakos Protocol with Salva Kiir, which paved the way for the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), ending the Second Sudanese Civil War (1983-2005).
