The Egmont Institute and the Oeconomus Economic Research Foundation are pleased to invite you to a public event on “European Competitiveness and the Hungarian Presidency of the EU.” This event will provide a platform to discuss key challenges and strategies for enhancing competitiveness across the European Union, with a particular focus on insights from recent research conducted by Oeconomus.
Taking place during Hungary’s Presidency of the Council of the EU, the event will convene experts, economists, and policymakers to explore critical topics including the single market, innovation, productivity, and labour market reforms. The discussions will draw upon the Budapest Declaration on the New European Competitiveness Deal of 8 November 2024, as well as the findings of Oeconomus’s latest report on the EU’s competitiveness.
