8–12 Jun 2026: Exchange of Expertise on Women’s Leadership with Mongolian Women Diplomats (Training)

An online training programme on “Enhancing Women’s Leadership in International Relations: Gender-Based Challenges and Solutions” was recently delivered for 16 Mongolian women diplomats and officials. The training explored topics related to women’s leadership in diplomacy, Belgium’s experience in multilateral settings, and gender perspectives in peace and security. Participants also had the opportunity to hear from Belgian women diplomats and to learn more about the Women at Work (W@W) network, which brings together female Belgian diplomats to foster mutual support and professional exchange.

The programme further addressed Belgium’s engagement in multilateral organisations, peacebuilding efforts, and the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda, including UN Security Council Resolution 1325. By sharing experiences and expertise, the initiative aimed to support participants in strengthening their leadership capacities and to promote the integration of gender perspectives into international relations and decision-making processes.
