The first 2025 Belgian Generic Training (BGT) on Civilian Crisis Management took place from 10-21 March. The BGT constitutes the first step towards the possible future deployment of an expert to a Civilian Crisis Management mission. Since its establishment in 2009, the two-week intensive training programme is co-organised by the Egmont Institute and the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Police and the Federal Public Service of Justice. It also benefits from the great support of the Ministry of Defence and the one of multilateral partners, the UN and EU in particular. More information available here.
