Twin green and digital transition is one of the EU’s main directions as recognised by the recent Letta report. The European Green Deal and the EU’s digital agenda recognise that the two transitions are closely linked. But the EU should go a step further. It should lead the way and ensure that digitalisation is used to enhance environmental protection and climate action and that the digital sector becomes greener.

At the beautiful campus of UCL-Saint-Louis in Brussels, we will delve into the dynamics of how the twin green and digital transitions can mutually reinforce one another. Ahead of the EU elections, panelists and students will discuss the multifaceted impacts of the digital transformation on the envisioned green transition and explore policy levers and instruments aimed at amplifying positive impacts while proactively mitigating risks.

Participation is open to EPC members and Egmont contacts, UCL-Saint-Luis students and staff, the media, and EU officials.
