Egmont Institute actively contributes to strengthening diplomatic practices notably in the Gulf countries. With the support of the Belgium Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, and in close collaboration with the Embassy of Yemen in Belgium, the Egmont Training team has launched a 4-day online training (26-29 September) for 14 Yemeni diplomats on the Consolidation of Peace and Security.
The training comprises four overarching modules: Negotiation, Mediation and Reconciliation; Federalism and consensus building; the European Union, and Humanitarian Affairs. The event provides an excellent opportunity for constructive exchanges between experts and Yemeni diplomats on the use of various tools and techniques in relation to the consolidation of peace and security.
