2018 Global Strategy PhD Prize for Dr Iulian Romanyshyn

The European Security and Defence College and the Egmont Institute have the pleasure of announcing that the jury of the Global Strategy PhD Prize, chaired by Professor Sven Biscop, awarded the 2018 Prize to Dr Iulian Romanyshyn for his dissertation on: “The European Union – An Effective Actor in Multilateral Arms Negotiations?”.

Grounded in strong empirical work, Dr Romanyshyn’s well-written dissertation offers an innovative perspective and policy-relevant conclusions on a topic that dominates today’s strategic agenda.

Having obtained his PhD in political science from the IMT Institute for Advanced Studies Lucca, Dr Romanyshyn is now an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University.
