The purpose of this conference organized by Egmont with the cooperation of three university centers (UCL, ULB, ICHEC) dealing with international monetary issues, is to present and debate the European Commission’s views on the reforms of the International Monetary System. Since the big financial crisis of 2008-09 the G20 has engaged works in view of improving global stability. This Egmont event allows for evaluating the chances of seeing the G20 move beyond an unsustainable status quo, having in mind recent political developments in the world and international macro-economic prospects.
