In 2017, 10 students from the third promotion of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration DR Congo are doing a three-month internship in the following Belgian public administrations: the Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport, the Federal Pensions Service (SFP), the National Social Security Office (ONSS), the National Employment Office (ONEM) and the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. A formal opening session was held on 30 January at the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs and was chaired by the Director General of the Egmont Institute, Marc Otte, and the Africa Director of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Jozef Smets. The session was attended by the Congolese Chargé d’Affaires, Paul-Crispin Kakhozi, representatives of the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Belgian Minister for Development Cooperation as well as representatives of each public administration welcoming a trainee.
